What is a site lighting balloon?

A construction site lighting balloon, also known as a LED balloon light, is a powerful 360° light designed to illuminate all types of construction sites, from the smallest to the largest (up to 6,000m² for the largest models such as the LUMAPHORE® 1500XLG). They generally come in two forms: as an "inflatable" balloon, or as a tube like the LUMAPHORE®.

In both cases, their objective remains the same: to illuminate in all directions without compromise.

It is generally mounted on a mast (we offer masts up to 5 meters) which allows you to cover a wider area and adapt the lighting to your real needs. The advantage of these masts is that you can adjust your lighting according to your real needs.

These lights are extremely sturdy and quick to install (in just a few minutes), so you can enjoy a reliable LED light source anytime, anywhere. In fact, they're designed for use in all conditions (from -40° to +60° C). And they light up instantly: as soon as you plug it in, the device lights up at full power.

Its brightness is generally close to neutral white (6,000°K) to maximize its performance and help pinpoint details.

 

How to choose the right LED balloon?

This type of product is a substantial purchase, designed to be used for a long time, so you need to make sure that its technical features really do match your needs. There are a number of selection criteria to take into account.

• Power (in Watts). Make sure you select a product that does not over-consume relative to your real needs.
• Lighting power (in Lumens). Choose a product that is powerful enough, without being too powerful, to cover your worksites.

Depending on the model you choose, you will need to mount your LUMAPHORE on a mast. ELC offers two models of masts : the mast 4-meter and the mast 5-meter with manual winch (for larger models). The feet of these masts are designed to limit the amount of space taken up on the ground, and to avoid obstructing your worksites.

You can also equip your LUMAPHORE® with a wide range of accessories to make it more efficient and better suited to your activity: guy kit, ballast kit, tripod wheels, generator holder or even an additional carrying case for the tripod.

If required, the LUMAPHORE® sleeve can be adapted for mounting on different structures/supports or masts.
